We finally got a pet!

His name's Zero and we picked him up this afternoon from the Humane Society.  He talks constantly and is nosy as hell but he's great and the girls love him. 

I think the drought has ended.

Now this may be old news to you guys but I was kinda psyched :D  I'm feeling rather special now!

I just want to thank you guys for your thoughts, prayers and hugs (even virtual ones count!).  We had the service on October 23.  It really as a more fucked up time than I thought.  Even though I didn't consider myself close to my father, it is weird going over to my parents house and not seeing him there.
